Heat Transfer
Heat press is done by creating a printout of a design that will be transferred to a shirt, hoodie, or hat. The critical elements to heat pressing is temperature and duration. It is pressed anywhere from 4 – 15 seconds depending on the types of clothing material. Once completed the backing of the paper is peeled off leaving the design on the shirt.
This process is very similar to an iron-on. The big difference being the quality of the commercial print out. And as mentioned before heat and time coupled with constant pressure is what creates the quality design. If they are done correctly the design will never peel off or fade away.
Common Used Heat Transfers
- Pre-cut letters and numbers are great for uniform or jersey personalization and can be ordered by the pack, kit, or team set.
- Heat seal embroidered letters are a terrific way to add an appliqué look to hats and bags.
- Inkjet/Color Laser Copier (CLC) transfers are a great way to customize T-shirts for special events, such as family reunions, charity events, or private parties.
